Our Story
The journey back isn’t always straightforward.
Sometimes it’s about pushing further — chasing ridges, summits and bigger adventures.
Other times, it’s about starting again — finding your way back, rebuilding confidence and taking things one step at a time.
On The Ridge was built somewhere between those two places.
MORE THAN THE SUMMIT
The mountains have always been a big part of the story.
From walking and hiking across Scotland, England and Wales to MunMunrosidges, winter days, international trekking and adventures further afield, the outdoors has brought challenge, achievement and some unforgettable experiences.
But On The Ridge was never really just about reaching summits.
Some of the most important moments happen much lower down — on a local path, through a forest, walking beside a canal, out with the dog, sharing a conversation or simply having some space to yourself.
Sometimes progression means going higher or further.
Sometimes it means finding your way back.
Both matter.
Sometimes progression means going further.
Sometimes it means finding your way back.
THE NEXT RIDGE
That idea still sits at the heart of On The Ridge today.
The outdoors remains where it started — and a huge part of where it’s going.
But the journey has also shown that confidence, challenge, resilience, direction and taking the next step aren’t only things we experience in the mountains.
There are different kinds of ridges in life.
And whether yours is outdoors, somewhere beyond the mountains, or a little bit of both, On The Ridge is about exploring what might be possible from where you are now.
Starting out. Returning. Changing direction. Pushing further.
See you on the ridge. ⛰️
DIFFERENT PATHS. DIFFERENT PACES.
On The Ridge grew from the belief that adventure, challenge and progress look different for everyone.
For one person, it might be their first walk.
For another, their first Munro.
It might be returning after time away, taking on a ridge that once felt out of reach, travelling somewhere new or setting a completely different kind of goal.
There’s no single path and no right pace.
What matters is having somewhere to start, something to move towards and the confidence to take the next step.
